It was impressively fast and painless to get airside on a recent trip through Heathrow T2, the first terminal to be planned with our security compliance zones from the onset. Three islands create a prominent portal at the start of the security process and provide plenty of space and all the necessary information for passengers to prepare before scanning. Not surprisingly, Heathrow’s own research shows that the quicker passengers can pass through security, the more they spend in the airside shops and cafes.
