The award-winning Vascular Targeter was developed in response to a brief from leading interventional radiologist, Dr Ben Timmis. It is a single use tool for targeting a needle into an artery under live X-ray, keeping the radiologist's hands out of the X-ray path. Encapsulated steel spheres help to align the tool with the dyed artery under X-ray, improving the accuracy of needle positioning, minimising the number of attempts at the target and reducing stess and pain for the patient.
