When designing products for the built environment you have to understand how they will contribute to the whole picture, how they integrate with the structure and services and when in the construction process they will be installed. An appreciation of context is vital to our work in other sectors too, as scientific and medical products are not used in isolation but need to work harmoniously with other pieces of kit.
