Tony has spent many years exploring the 3d forms that are created when a pair of 2d surfaces are joined at their perimeter (a book on the subject, D-Forms, was published in 2009). We used this developable surface geometry to create moulds for precast stone street furniture and a family of forms for bins, benches and bollards.
D-Forms have also been at the core of some of our competition entries, exploiting the curvaceous shapes for signage totems, monoliths and focal points in the streetscape.
